Aleksandar “Sorsi” Avramov from Bulgaria is the new champion of Ranked Games, making a strong statement in his debut. He pulled off an impressive run, edging out top competitors like Canadian Ben “benz” Zeidenberg, who took silver, and American Gene Kuehneman, who claimed the bronze.
Ben took an early lead in the season, but halfway through, Sorsi surged ahead. By the end, Ben had built a comfortable cushion of over 2,100 IBPs above Gene—but it wasn’t enough to catch Sorsi, who secured the win with a margin of more than 1,200 IBPs over Ben. If ranks extended beyond Ace, that gap would’ve been the equivalent of three full tiers.
Here are some interesting stats and infographics from the season…
☆ This is Ben Zeidenberg’s (benz) sixth consecutive appearance in the top 10. So far, he’s earned three bronze medals, along with a 4th and a 7th place finish. Season 8 marks his best performance yet, leaving just one “small” step left to climb.
☆ This is Gene Kuehneman’s (gene) fifth consecutive appearance in the top 5 and his second medal. With a gold still missing, he’s one step away too from completing his collection.
☆ This marks Serbian Milorad Radojević’s (3MAJ) fourth consecutive appearance in the top 5. Chasing his first medal, will he push harder in Season 9 to finally break through?
☆ In addition to this season’s winner, Aleksandar Avramov (Sorsi) from Bulgaria, two other players made their debut in the top 10: Graham Lucy from Spain, who finished 7th, and Bas van Gelderen from the Netherlands, who took 10th.

Season 9 has been live for a while now—time to climb the ranks!
